Accessibility statement for Create an energy label
This statement applies to content published on the ‘Create an energy label’ service web pages only (create-energy-label.service.gov.uk) (the ‘service’).
This service is part of the wider GOV.UK website. There's a separate accessibility statement for the main GOV.UK website.
Using this service
This service is run by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this service. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts
- zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
- get from the start of the service to the end using just a keyboard
- get from the start of the service to the end using speech recognition software
- listen to the service using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
We have also made the text in the service as simple as possible for manufacturers of energy-related products to understand.

Following an internal review of the web pages of the service on 21 March 2019, we believe that this service is fully accessible.

How we tested this service
The service was last reviewed on 21 March 2019 and was checked for compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA. The test was carried out by internal accessibility experts.
We are currently working to re-test the service and will provide an accessibility audit report here shortly.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We are not aware of any accessibility problems with the ‘Create an energy label’ service at the moment. We will update this section shortly if the accessibility audit report recommends any improvements.
